This is Baby Ying Liang, the embryo of a toothless theropod dinosaur.
The least 66-million-year-old dinosaur embryo has been found inside a fossilized egg.
Discovered in Ganzhou of southern China’s Fujian Province, the egg is one of the best-preserved specimens of its kind ever found.
Scientists from China, the UK, and Canada observed the embryos for the past four years discovering Baby Ying Liang’s pre-hatching behavior
is similar to a modern bird.
This newfound has excited dinosaur experts across the planet and may shed light over evolution of birds.
The egg was about 17 centimeters long, giving the dinosaur an estimated length of 27 centimeters from head to tail. As an adult, the researchers believe it would have been two to three meters long if it had been alive.
