Across the EU, thanks to the EU funding, cities & regions are investing in education, employment, housing, health and social care services. Together with capacity building actions and measures tackling segregation and discrimination, they are fostering integration of migrants and refugees and building an inclusive society for all. A coordinated approach at national, macro-regional, regional and local level is necessary in the programming and implementation of EU funds contributing to integration and inclusion.
Cities and Regions for Integration initiative provides a political platform for European mayors and regional leaders to showcase positive examples of integration of migrants and refugees, share relevant information and promote diversity as an added value to building inclusive cities and ensuring social cohesion.
