Drama student Katie got the chance to attend the National Youth Film Academy’s 10 day SetReady Summer course in London this summer all thanks to money she received through the University’s Work Experience Fund. Katie vlogged her time at the NYFA course – watch her journey as she travelled from Canterbury to London to work with like-minded filmmakers and actors to create a short film over 10 days. During her time on the course, Katie featured in the short film ‘The CULTure Club’ with her group, which you will see throughout the vlog where she documents pre-production and production of the short film. Katie says: “I am so grateful to Canterbury Christ Church University for granting me this opportunity to network, feature in a short film and become more educated on the film industry. I now plan to go further into this industry as a career of acting once I graduate with my bachelor’s degree in Drama from Canterbury Christ Church University.”
