The National Skills Fund has been hit by a mismanagement scandal,
which includes millions of rands meant for youth-owned small, medium
and micro enterprises.
Former higher education minister Blade Nzimande instituted a forensic
investigation after it emerged that amounts of just under R5 billion
couldn't be properly accounted for over two financial years.
Nzimande spokesperson Veli Mbele says there are initiatives the
minister initiated to ensure proper governance.
