This guild discussion revolves around a dying old sweet cherry in the middle of our yard. Anticipating it's passing, I've installed a large number of trees that can handle the current situation and patiently wait their turn to become the new canopy when the cherry passes on. The cherry will then feed the system with it's roots decomposing and its body becoming a huge apartment complex for a vibrant and diverse set of other flying and climbing creatures.
