Election Results 2024: Samajwadi Party's winning candidate from Faizabad (Ayodhya) Awadhesh Prasad expressed his gratitude over winning the Lok Sabha Elections on June 05. He thanked the people of Faizabad and Ayodhya for electing him and also prompted the Prime Minister wanted to contest from the Faizabad seat but later he backed out.
Speaking to ANI, he said, “This election has been won not by us but by the people of Ayodhya... have they (BJP) brought Ram? These are not the people who have brought Ram, these are the people who do business in the name of Ram, all their secrets have been exposed... these are hypocrites... the Prime Minister himself wanted to contest from here but when he got intelligence reports that the opposition is good and honest, he backed out…. I had faith in my people. They have made me win."
