Google photos is ending the high quality unlimited storage facility from June 1, 2021. The free storgae for photos will be limited by the 15GB storage limit. But till next year you can still upload unlimited "High Quality" photos to Google Photos. If you have photos yet to be backed up, you can do so now until next year. Of course, the Pixel devices may be an exception to this. Also, if you purchase Google One subscription, you will be able to upload photos at its original resolution till the storage limits.
