Anant Ambani, the younger son of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, opens a huge animal shelter in Gujarat's Jamnagar. This is a first in the field of wildlife protection. This huge 12-square-kilometer rehabilitation center, which is run by Reliance Industries and the Reliance Foundation, is meant to save and care for abused, hurt, or threatened animals. Its goal is to reflect Anant Ambani's interest in protecting wildlife and using renewable energy.
Vantara, whose name means "Star of the Forest," is in Reliance's Jamnagar Refinery Complex, which is in the Green Belt of Gujarat in the southwest of India. To reach its goals, the big project works with well-known wildlife experts to create a lush, wooded environment for saved animals.
