*Update* and hopefully the last one for a while. So after they fix the timing chain tensioner there was a small oil leak at the back of the motor though from the valve cover gasket. It was creating smoke inside the cab and coming from the engine bay. I replaced the valve cover and a new gasket and everything seems to be fine now. The truck is running smooth with the new motor I'm hoping for the best that nothing else happens.
**UPDATE** I am getting a new motor. Found cylinder scoring, burnt plugs and metal in oil.
Will make a video when I get it.
Another Update.
So it's at another dealer now. They pulled off the oil filter and found metal in it. After that they pulled two plugs and it's burning oil pretty bad the plugs were black. They said these are the same symptoms that the other truck they just worked on last week that had to have a new motor put in it. Fuck. Really wishing I didn't buy this truck now, but if it happens again I will be getting a lawyer.
*Update*
I have developed a Piston slap and what they call the BBQ tick/Typewriter tick, here is a link to my other video.

My rattle is back, same level. Tranny shifts better tho. Super annoyed Ford, this is awful for a new truck. Why mess with a good engine?
I just got mine back from Ford, I can faintly hear it still but not as loud. I am sure it is on it's way back to get loud in the morning. When I first drove it off the lot I could not hear it, but progressively got louder by the time I got home. The transmission shifts a lot smoother though, due to the flash.
So Ford, the TSB did not work, just like others have said. What is your next step? Because this is a huge issue apparently globally.
There is a TSB on this issue now. Apparently it still does not fix the issue. But go try it I guess, mine goes in on December 18th, so I will definitely update after that.

My truck is 2018 Ford F-150 Sport and has about 10k on it now, but it has been doing it since 5k. Brought it in twice, I know the service manager and he said Ford said its normal and rolled his eyes and said its not. His Demo does it to, and I've heard others do it. He said Ford needs more complaints about it.
**The more people that contact Fo4d and make case numbers the more Ford will be aware of this and in the end fix it.**
This noise only does it while it is in Drive.
I noticed it did it when I shifted to 4x4
Anyone else have this problem?
