I fell in love in the vacuum of quarantine. This song was written when things started to open up again and the pressure to resume as if nothing had changed overwhelmed us all. I worried that amidst the rest of the world, I wouldn’t be enough for him and I feared that he too, wouldn’t be enough for me.

Lyrics:
Oh, I think it’s over
Say it ain’t so
A Lilac pushing himself through the snow
Salivating for spring Begging to be pollinated But i’m just too faded
I cannot be baited
And I don’t think I can water him
His ravenous roots keep drinking from my lips
Is that all there is?
We pacify the present reminiscing on our genesis Is that all there is?
Oh, it’s so damn easy
To set my soul alight
Enter me gently and look me in the eye
A cacophony of needs
Singing simultaneously
In dissonant keys
And I wonder why he can’t hear me
And I don’t think he can water me
My insatiable limbs are reaching endlessly And i’m begging please
For the way things used me be
For some goddamn reciprocity
It could be so
It could be so
It could be so easy
