Due to the high flow (500 GPM) and strong nature of the wastewater, a 2 tank hybrid-batch pH adjustment system was proposed. A customized Burt Process ChemPlus chemical feed system was installed upstream of the neutralization system in order to prevent biologic build-up in the waste stream by injecting peracetic acid (PAA) for disinfection. UV and temperature resistant materials of construction, enclosed reagent metering pumps, and a climate control system enable uninterrupted operation during extreme weather conditions. The system is skid mounted with lag mounts for easy transport, installation, and securing in place with lag bolts.
