Congress President #mallikarjunkharge arrives at 10, Janpath; Congress Parliament group meet to begin shortly; #UCC to be discussed

A meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Strategy Group will be held today ahead of a discussion by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Uniform Civil Code on July 3. The meeting will be held at former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s residence at 10, Janpath in New Delhi.

The government could table a bill on implementing a Uniform Civil Code in the monsoon session of Parliament. The bill may be sent to the parliamentary standing committee which will hear views of various stakeholders on the Uniform Civil Code.
