The Saghmosavank is a 13th-century Armenian monastic complex located in the village of Saghmosavan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia.
It was built in the village of Saghmosavank near the deep gorge of Qasagh River. Overall, its excellent location provides additional beauty and comeliness to the monastery.
Saghmosavank Monastery was founded in 1215 when the prince Vache Vachyutian ordered to erect there the temple of Surb Zion (Holy Zion).
