Doctor Strange visits Wanda Maximoff at her farm to ask for help, but he realizes that she is the one who sent the demons after America Chavez. After acquiring the Darkhold and becoming the Scarlet Witch, Wanda believes that controlling America's powers will allow her to reunite with Billy and Tommy, the children she created in Westview.
She asks Doctor Strange to surrender America, but he refuses. At Kamar-Taj, the Masters of the Mystic Arts fortify the area in preparation for the Scarlet Witch's arrival with a magic shield and various other defenses. However, the Scarlet Witch's telepathy targets one sorcerer, leading the shield to collapse and allowing her to shred through the resistance and destroy Kamar-Taj.
