STARSHIP TROOPERS CONTINUUM is a brand new VR game from XR Games, and more specifically the team behind Zombieland Headshot Fever. It's the first official VR Starship Troopers game and despite it receiving a lukewarm reception initially from some in the VR community I can confirm after going hands on that this game is a LOT of FUN. I was also lucky enough to be introduced to the game by Casper Van Dien himself, although I don't think he'd approve of me and @RhysDaKingVR survival skills... Starship Troopers Continuum leans into punchy arcade action and wave based combat sections to deliver a cartoonish version of the Starship Troopers universe that is best played with a couple of friends. You can level up your trooper, purchase new weapons, unlock new outfits, complete career goals and ultimately retire them if they live long enough to see that day arrive... otherwise you'll be transferred into a brand new soldiers body after each death like some kind of crazy cloning program. Starship Troopers VR is one of those games that looks so much better in motion inside the headset than it ever could in static screenshots, it's certainly not perfect and there is definite room for improvement and growth but if you love Starship Troopers and have always wanted to face off against the arachnid threat with a few friends then Continuum is a fantastic and fun way to live out that fantasy.

This Starship Troopers VR gameplay / Starship Troopers Continuum gameplay was captured natively on the Quest 3 and covers the first full mission of the campaign. I was also lucky enough to sit down with Casper Van Dien for just over an hour to talk about the game, his love of movies and his passion for the Starship Troopers franchise.
