Mentoring programs are increasingly focusing on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to reflect this national academic priority. Although the benefits and importance of STEM are evident, it’s often difficult for practitioners to implement STEM activities without having expertise in these subjects. Join Laura Batt, Director of STEM Programs at Mystic Aquarium, and Charlie Lindquist, Program Coordinator at Illinois Tech Global Leaders Program, to learn how two different programs have engaged their communities and programs in STEM. This panel discussion will focus on how STEM programs can develop strong partnerships, explore how programs can incorporate STEM activities, and highlight two successful program models.
