Here is the first pilot set of the 10-Car Kawasaki R211A (A) Express Train to Far Rockaway.
On Friday, March 10, 2023, the R211A has started the 1st day of passenger service on the (A) Line.
This set is undergoing the 30-day in-service test period, and if it runs perfectly without problems, more of these will start arriving soon! These trains feature new amenities, such as LED signs on the front and signs showing the color of the route, and the destination of the train in the front and back. They also include LED displays showing the next stops and lights near the doors that change color when the doors are open and closed (green and red).
