Rotax 582 gray head engine is going to get a treat with new piston rings.
Old rings have lost their tension I think, so aftermarket rings for OEM piston are going to be installed. Standard size rings at 76mm, brand is RIK. Time will tell if this works out.
After honing to deglaze the cylinders, they only seem to have .0005 taper.
Both cylinders are the same, with largest diameter at the top.
Always place the same piston and rings (same face up.)... In the same cylinder. They are matched parts after they are broken-in.
