The fish protection unit of the army will carry on with operations on the lakes in the country to combat illegal fishing despite a resolution by parliament ordering them to halt their activities.
Lt. Col. James Niwagaba says they are proceeding with the operation against illegal fishing until sanity is restored in the communities surrounding the lakes and fish stocks increase.
