Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo and his Deputy Richard Buteera have implored the President to facilitate the recruitment of more judicial officers so that that the court system can clear the current case backlog and deliver timely justice.
While speaking at the swearing in ceremony for both Owiny-Dollo and Buteera, President Yoweri Museveni attributed the failure to recruit more manpower to the poor prioritisation of the different appropriation bodies.
The President has also castigated the judiciary for continuing to give bail to those charged with capital offences.
