Georgia has noticed a huge spike in the number of Omicron cases among children as the variant rages across the United States.
Children below the age of 5, who are not eligible to receive a vaccine remain at higher risk of catching the virus as a result.
The United States broke a global record by the number of new coronavirus infections of 1.35 million in a day last week.
While children show milder symptoms, sky-high case numbers mean that more children are ending up in the hospital.
