Ronnie Kaye hosted “The Scene”, a Bandstand-like, teen dance show on WKY-TV (currently KFOR) in Oklahoma City from 1966-1974.
This was the second-to-last year for the Pontiac Tempest (“Breakaway in the wiiiiide trackin’ Pontiac”) as it was discontinued in 1970.
Marvin Gaye’s “Too Busy Thinking About My Baby” peaked at #4 back in June but is still on the charts today at #31.
