Because of my experience achieving excellent results in breast augmentation, I have also become an expert at correcting problems after surgery done elsewhere. When patients come to me to correct their problems, a major culprit is capsular contracture. This is caused by internal scar tissue that forms a tight and constricting capsule around the implant. If it progresses, it can cause the breast to become misshapen and hard. As a result, the breast may feel painful and stiff and appear to have a distorted shape. I have perfected techniques to correct these problems and provide patients with long lasting beautiful results. In addition to removing existing scars and reshaping the breast, I also use a material called acellular dermal matrix to cover the implant. One of these materials, called Strattice, has been shown to significantly decrease the risk of capsular contracture ever happening again. My breast revision patients have had outstanding long term results from this.
