July 9, 2012 Windsor Terrace Community Meeting
Our local electeds and residents met with Walgreens, requesting options for a full service grocery store - whether that be in addition to the drug store proper, or instead of it - and all they heard was "NO" and "that's not in our business model." So our neighborhood is now an official food desert, and Walgreens remains a predatory corporation uninterested in working with the community. This is the beginning of our most recent planning meeting.
