Hellebores are a popular and very useful garden plant in most temperate parts of the world. Flowering in winter with sensational blooms, and often having beautiful year round foliage, they have rightly become a much sort after addition to many a garden - including Stephen's! This week on The Horti-Culturalists we were very lucky to be able to visit Peter Leigh of Post Office Farm Nursery who is a specialist grower of species and hybrid Hellebores. Peter takes us through every step of growing Hellebores; from the species types, to pollinating and propagating hybrid types, growing plants from seed and when to prick them out and pot them on, to how to grow Hellebores in the garden and in pots. We'll even take a look at them as a cut flower! Many thanks to Peter and the team at Post Office Farm Nursery for their generosity in sharing their amazing Hellebore knowledge!
