Congratulations to FC Bayern München forward Sadio Mane, who was last night voted the CAF 2022 African Player of the Year. One of this summer’s biggest Bundesliga signings, Mane guided his native Senegal to victory in the African Cup of Nations, and retains the title he won in 2019 (there was no award in 2020 or 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic).
