Today we're going to be taking a look at part number ST52AA. This is the Dual-Face Trailer Parking and Turn Signal Light from Optronics. The amber dual-face trailer light is going to serve two functions; you're going to have your parking and your rear turn signal light. It's going to feature an all-weather, molded plastic, corrosion-resistant housing with a snap-on, replaceable, polycarbonate lens. It's also going to feature an incandescent light bulb that's easy to change and replace. This is a two-wire design so its going to include the lead wires and it's going to ground through your mounting post. It's going to include the nut, lock washer and flat washer for your pedestal mount.
It is Department of Transportation compliant. It meets FMVSS108 requirements in any 360-degree position. It's a nice round shape. Let's take a look at the diameter. It's going to give us a diameter of 4-5/16" and then the depth is going to measure right at 2-3/8". When using the turn signal your power draw is going to be at 2.30 amps at 12 volts and your parking is going to be at 0.90 amps at 12 volts.
When it comes to your installation it is a pedestal mount. The bolt post is going to measure 1-5/16" in length. We're going to hook it up to our external power source that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it and with our overhead lights turned off. As you can see right here it's going to provide that parking signal. Again it's going to be on both side, nice, strong consistent signal and then when we apply the turn signal you can see how it illuminates, sending out an even brighter signal.
