SOUKYUGURENTAI or TERRA DIVER is a japanese sega saturn game, which came out for the SEGA TITAN VIDEO arcade system in 1996, and then soon after ported to the sega saturn in 1997 for a near 1 to 1 conversion, since the sega saturn was modeled after the ST-V system.

This is one of the best vertical space ship shooter (or shmup) i have ever played, even though my favorite remains truxton. SOUKYUGURENTAI is highly impressive.

Awesome graphics, amazing soundtrack, challenging but not to hard gameplay. it's not quite bullet hell, but it's almost there.

plentiful supply of power-ups. if you're playing 2 player, when your partner dies you can collect all their power ups!

defiantly worth checking out if your a fan of the genre, or the sega saturn!
