In the summer of 1993, we made a day trip up to Washago, on CN's Transcontinental mainline between Toronto and Winnipeg. We caught Ontario Northland's Northlander, the morning northbound run and the afternoon southbound. As well as two CN freights and VIA's The Canadian running with relatively new F40s.
