Support for the Coalition and Prime Minister Scott Morrison has bounced back ahead of the May budget according to the latest Newspoll.
Mr Morrison’s approval rating rose four points to 59 per cent after he pledged to rescue the vaccine rollout and address the treatment of women in parliament.
Meanwhile confidence in Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese's performance dropped three per cent.
The Coalition's primary vote increased one point to 41 per cent while Labor remains unchanged at 38.
The data also reveals the Liberal party is still trailing the Opposition on the two-party-preferred count at 49 to 51 but it’s the second consecutive improvement over the last two polls.
