Gandhinagar: Tata Group is about to launch building a Giga factory of 20 GW lithium iron battery production. The project should start construction in next couple of months, said N Chandrashekharan today while speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat summit here.
He said Tata group has made a commitment and on the verge of concluding an announcement of a huge semiconductor FAB in Dholera in Gujarat. He added – ‘we are about to complete these negotiations and start in 2024.’
He said Tata is also building C295 defense aircrafts in Gujarat initially in Vadodara and then in Dholera. The work is going on in full swing, he added.
He said Tata group is also building in partnership with Government of India, Government of Gujarat and Institite of Skills a training centre that shall train more than 25,000 professionals every year, mainly in advanced manufacturing, Electric Vehicles, advanced electronics and hospitality. The first phase will be launched in March 2024, he said while adding that Tata Group sees Gujarat as a very important destination for business. DeshGujarat
