Unveiling scleroderma
On the 29th June the scleroderma community will be celebrating World Scleroderma Day. This internationally recognised Awareness Day aims to improve understanding of scleroderma and show support for the 2.5 million people diagnosed with scleroderma worldwide.
Scleroderma is a rare autoimmune condition, in which the body attacks itself by overproducing collagen, causing skin and internal organs to harden and scar.
Scleroderma has no cure and leads to physical disability or even death.
Organisations across the globe are taking part in the 2015 campaign to raise awareness for 2.5 million individuals diagnosed with scleroderma worldwide.
