The UN System-wide Dashboard is a joint initiative by UN Women and UNDP to strengthen system-wide monitoring and data collection on gender parity, in support of the Secretary-General’s System-wide Strategy on Gender Parity.
The dashboard is the first of its kind to monitor gender parity progress across the UN system, using the latest available data, with participation from 36 UN entities.
It presents the representation of women and men by grade, staff category, duty station and age group. It also features Gender Parity index charts, showing the number of men or women needed to reach parity.
The dashboard is expected to enhance transparency and accountability, and is an accessible resource for the UN system, UN Member States, civil society representatives and other partners. It is intended to facilitate and speed up progress towards achieving gender parity by 2028, as requested by the Secretary-General.
