In this episode of Solo Playthroughs, Greg presents the channel's first playthrough of Root, with the Clockwork Expansion*! One of the most popular games of the past few years, Root pits armies of cute woodland animals against each other in a battle to see which critters emerge as rulers of the forest. And the battle today is The Eyrie Dynasty, the birds, against the forest's cats. Well, at least against the robotic version of the cats, the Mechanical Marquise 2.0. The birds rely on adhering to a very strict and ever-expanding decree, and failing to adhere to the decree will threaten to completely derail the entire bird society by throwing it into turmoil until a new leader emerges. Adhering to the decree will be vitally important against the Marquise, who exist in the forest in overwhelming numbers, especially structures in an ever growing number of clearings. Oh, and these cats are coming it at Nightmare level, have especially resilient structures, and have hospitals that quickly save warriors lost in battle. Will the birds be up to the challenge? Let's decree it to be so!
