I'm in my Mom's kitchen today and we are making her delicious pecan pie recipe.

Mom's Pecan Pie Recipe
Crust:
3c. flour
1c. butter
1/3 c. shortening/lard
1 t. salt
1/2 t. baking powder
1 1/2 T. vinegar
5 T cold water
Mix first 5 ingredients together until crumbly. Add the rest of ingredients. Mix until form a ball. Refrigerate until needed.
Filling:
3 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 c. corn syrup (dark or light)
1 c. pecans + extra for lining the pie plate
Mix all but pecans. Once beaten well, fold in 1 c. pecans.
Line extra pecans into the pie crust.
Pour mixture into pie crust.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 40-50 mins. If edges brown too fast place foil over until finished baking.
Let cool completely. Will thicken more as it cools.
