In May 2020, during the first lockdown, Saphear was invited to play their DJ & violin performance for the livestream series of "The Next" - a trainee project at TSE Berlin.

With this contribution, Chrystal Chris & Sawatzki support the project "Lesbos & Berlin - Solidarisch Verkabeln" and want to raise attention to the situation of refugees living on Lesbos who are currently deprived of all fundamental rights and whose life situation requires all available help. People live on Lesbos in an inhumane camp (Moria), with no prospect of physical integrity and no chance of a fair asylum procedure.

About Saphear:
After years of traveling and changing residencies, Chrystal Chris arrived in Berlin where she soon met Sawatzki.
Their strong love for deep, complex electronic music led to their first performance, floating on a pristine lake - Saphear was born.
As a trained jazz violinist with a classical background, Sawatzki improvises to Chrystal Chris' carefully curated selection of tracks, making each performance a unique experience.
Their sounds take you into ambient spheres of avantgarde, electronica, deep house and neo-classical sounds.
This fusion shines in its own uniqueness, resonating between sadness and felicity, light and darkness, yin and yang.
Like crystals thrive with other solute molecules, Saphear grows steadily by attracting people through their enthusiasm.
