This version of The Outlaw Torn was actually the original version, however when the CD was being manufactured they realized the full song wouldn't fit, the CD ended up being 78:59 long. So Metallica removed the one minute from the end of The Outlaw Torn to make it fit on the CD.
This version was eventually released on The Memory Remains CD single.
