After Eight years of Mumbai's 1st Metro line between Ghatkopar-Versova, Mumbai gets two more lines : Metro 2A(Phase-1) and Metro 7 , which opened on April 2nd ,2022.
Both lines are fully elevated and Metro 2A, running from Dahisar to D.N. Nagar (Andheri west), of which Phase 1 route from Dahanukarwadi to Dahisar East is operational and in case of Metro 7, from Dahisar east to Andheri east, A part from Dahisar East till Aarey is operational as of now.
The line 2A is Yellow Line and Line 7 is Red Line
All the station are are color coded in same manner.
Both the route have BEML built 6 Coach Metro Rake. These Coaches are equipped with USB Charging and Plug Point , also a space dedicated for bicycle parking is provided .
The route is currently having few technical glitches which should be resolved in future.
During My Travel ,I observed doors on platform at many stations didn't opened ,which should be resolved in future .
This route would immensely benefit the people in the north-western suburbs and help reduce traffic from Western Express Highway.
