Took the Daniel Defense M4 V11 Pro out to the range to check the accuracy of the rifle with the following cartridges:
Nosler Match Grade 223 60 gr. BT
Armscor 223 62 gr. FMJ
Remington Hog Hammer 223 62 gr. TSX
Hornady 223 68 gr. BTHP
Freedom Munitions 69 gr. HPBT Reman
Freedom Munitions 77 gr. HPBT Reman
Federal Premium 223 77 gr. Sierra Matchking BTHP
I chose these to get an idea of how the rifle performs with bullets heavier than 55 gr. and these were the choices I had lying around the house. I could have done 5 shot groups instead of 3 shot groups but these rounds are EXPENSIVE! :-)
But the results are impressive; All the cartridges were within 1MOA or in many cases, well below 1MOA of accuracy at 100 yards. The only exception to this was the Armscor cartridges which, from my experience, are typically great range ammo but limited in accuracy potential.
The DDM4 V11 continues to impress me as a great rifle. The tight twist seems to favor 60 gr. or heavier bullet weights.
