Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is a non-invasive technique that can be used to apply interfering electrical fields to modulate neural activity via standard electrodes mounted on the head, allowing structures located deep in the brain to be targeted. The movie shows a demo of the final prototype device for advanced research in TI brain stimulation. The device, developed in collaboration with TI Solutions AG, delivers high-precision current on eight channels from 0 Hz to 100 kHz and exists in two variants: a standard configuration and a magnetic resonance imaging-compatible configuration. Both variants consist of the battery-powered Intelligent Current Source with eight fully differential channels that can be connected to any third-party electrodes via an Electrode Connection Box. It is controlled via the Application Programming Interface sent by a control computer via optical connections.
