In this review, we break down our best 6 crankbaits that we use for trolling for walleyes real shallow. When I say shallow, I mean 3-8 feet of water. Rapala Original Floating Minnows (#11 and #13), Rapala Shallow Husky Jerks, Berkley Hit Sticks, and both regular and jointed Rapala Scatter Raps make up the lineup of cranks.
These crankbaits vary in action, but they all have that longer profile which is what we usually use. You CAN USE shad baits as well. Shad raps, flicker shads are the 2 most popular brands used.
