The Death By Audio Germanium Filter is a powerful tool that provides anything from dirty boost to carved out fuzz. Death By Audio starts with an unabashed console-style drive circuit with a penchant for overloading anything you feed into it, thanks to some special "obsolete" Ge transistors. The Filter knob works hand in hand with the gain control and the heavy range pummels your speakers with sub frequencies and then sweeps into scooped territory towards the middle and high pass at higher ranges. The Germanium filter also has an internal linear master volume to better match with direct recording or to really kick your amp into saturation! Like all DBA effects, experimentation is key and stacking with other pedals will breathe new life and unexplored sweet spots into your pedal chain.
