X-Main Board Replacement - TV Won't Turn On w/ Clicking Noise - Samsung Chime but No Image

These are the common symptoms that could be fixed by replacing the X-Main Board.
Symptom number one - if the TV will not turn on, but you will hear the relay click one and off repeatedly.
Symptom number two - The TV turns on and you hear the Samsung chime turn on sound, but there is no video.
In this video we will show how to replace the X-Main Board in a Samsung plasma TV. I have removed the screws and the back cover of the TV. This is what the TV looks like with the back cover removed and all the boards on the panel. Here is the power supply board, and the Y-Main Board, and the Bottom Y-Scan Drive board, and the main logic control board, the main board, and the X Main Board.
We will now show how to replace the X-Main Board. I will start by disconnecting all of the ribbons and cables from the board. Be very careful as these connections are fragile. I will squeeze this first connection, apply pressure and pull backwards away from the board.
The next two connections are very fragile. For these two ribbon cables, there are two plastic pieces on the inside of these connections that hold the ribbon in place. You will see them highlighted here in the image. The plastic pieces push down through the holes in the ribbon to hold it secure in place. To begin removing these ribbons, I will pinch in on the connection and pull it out just a little bit from the board. Do this very gently. Next, I will apply pressure to the ribbon, pushing downward so that I can release it from those plastic pieces inside the connection that are holding it secure. If you feel any resistance, it may be caught and you need to put more pressure pushing downward in order to release it from those plastic pieces. I will do the same for this other ribbon as well. For this last connection, I will use my finger to flip up the black tab and then pull out the ribbon. Then after removing all of the cables and ribbons I will use my screwdriver to remove the screws that connect the board to the panel. After removing the screws, I can lift the board from the panel. Then I will place my replacement board on to the panel and inset my screws to secure it. After it is secure, I will reconnect the ribbon cables. I will pinch this connection and then push it in to secure it. When re-installing the ribbon, I will want to again apply pressure downward to push it below the two plastic pieces on the inside of the connection. I will apply pressure downward and then push it in.
Once the ribbon is in, I will pinch the sides again and push it back towards the board to lock it in place. I will inset this ribbon and then flip the black tab down to secure it. Be sure to upgrade the firmware after installing this board to keep from having a repeat failure.
We have successfully replace the X-Main Board on this Samsung Plasma TV.
