The Arctic Field Ration from Norway is regarded as one of the best military MREs the world has to offer. I was a little skeptical going into this review, as I figured these Norwegian Armed Forces combat rations were somewhat overhyped, but I was surprised by how good this meal kit was. AFR Menu 19, Creamy Pasta with Pork, is quite simply delicious. These ration packs come in at 1,300 calories, which is comparable to the American Meal Ready to Eat, but they contain freeze-dried contents since they are designed for extreme cold climates. After this experience, I'm ready to taste test every single menu.
