Over the years, there have been a number of sickening looking injuries that have made us wince or gag as we recoil in horror at legs bending in ways they shouldn't. And it is with this in mind that Argentine goalkeeper Oscar Ustari deserves all of our respect for the way he reacts to one of the most horrifying looking knee injuries we've ever seen.

The Club Atlas stopper, who was at Sunderland once upon a time, saw his knee become completely displaced during a Mexican Liga MX game, to the point where it was visibly, and terrifyingly, sticking out of his leg in as grisly and unnatural a manner as humanly possibly.
And, while we would be rolling around and crying and wonder whether the leg would need to be amputated or not, Ustari simply sits up and screams to the bench that he needs help, as it looks as if an alien life form is about to spring forth from his kneecap and wreak havoc on the other 21 players on the pitch.
