At our recent visit to French and Jupps Malt, we learnt how to taste malts like a pro. This was a fantastic experience, and something that can easily be done at home.
We sampled a Medium Crystal, Cara and Black malt. All with a unique aroma and flavour. Paul takes us through how to make malting tea, and how to taste and evaluate these teas.
This is something we recommend all brewers to try, to get a better understanding on the flavours being introduced into your next beer.
