Observations from Exodus 33:7-23:
1. God desires a relationship with his people. (33:14-15)
2. God is generous with his grace and mercy. (33:19, Romans 9:14-16)
3. God would only listen to a mediator he has chosen. (33:9, 17)
Jesus is our mediator, allowing us direct access to God. (Hebrews 3:3-6a, 4:16, 9:15)
4. God was hidden to Moses, but Jesus unlocks the mystery of God. (Colossians 1:15-19)
5. God's promised rest to His people will be ultimately fulfilled as we finally see Him face to face. (Revelation 22:4-5)
