The combination of regularly maintained conical burrs and a fresh batch of coffee beans is key when creating third-wave specialty coffee at home. Follow this simple 7-step guide and achieve even coffee grounds and a consistent flavor every time.

Directions:
1. Unlock and empty the hopper and remove any remaining coffee beans hidden in the machine. When emptied and clean, place the hopper back onto the machine.
2. Set the grind size to maximum and run the grinder until it is empty.
3. Unlock and remove the hopper and the upper burr by pulling the wire arm up and twisting counter-clockwise.
4. Clean the upper and lower burr with the cleaning brush.
5. Remove the tamp cover to clean the grind outlet with the cleaning brush then replace the cover once cleaned.
6. To place the upper burr into the machine, align the index marks and push the upper burr firmly into position and lock it into place by rotating clockwise.
7. Insert the hopper and lock into place and return the grind setting to its previous position.
