Visualise that Elbow flexes extends at Humeral Trochlea and Ulna upper end junction. But radial head allows this movement at capitellum head of radius junction and Head of radius rotating on capitellum on upper end of ulna radial articulation allows supination and pronation. Fracture of upper ulna angulating anteriorly will align the radius in extension causing the head to dislocate anteriorly. In this 8 year old boy with 8 months injury the ulna was reduced and united but head remained antero laterally dislocated. Since Ulna is smaller in length than the radius the radius must be shortened or ulna lengthened to avheive open reduction of the Head of Radius. The radial Head can not be excised as it is still growing. We show you the reduction of the Head of Radius by shortening the Radius.
