I saved up and got myself a good (40-50,000 gallon) inline filter from Boogie Blue. I am NOT an affiliate nor do they sponsor me in any way.
Since I use mainly liquid fertilizers, I needed something for the hose to take out the chlorine and chloramine found in municipal water. These substances are bad for people AND plants and if you make compost tea, they render it un-useable. This filter isn't cheap, but it's good.
